Nick W. Tapp is the founder of Taptico and a twenty-year marketer who taught himself to build AI in public. He calls himself the bridge between Silicon Valley and Main Street, and he builds tools that give small businesses the firepower big companies used to hoard. The W stands for William, but that's a longer story.
Nick W. Tapp is the founder of Taptico, an AI company on a mission to give small and mid-sized businesses the strategic firepower of a Fortune 500, without the Fortune 500 budget. A marketer for twenty years, he taught himself to build AI systems in public, bootstrapping the company on a MacBook and a stubborn belief that the game doesn't have to stay rigged.
He calls himself the bridge between Silicon Valley and Main Street: fluent enough in the technology to build with it, fluent enough in small business to know what actually matters. Before founding Taptico, he spent two decades in marketing and media, including work as a trained improv actor and event host, which explains a lot.
The W stands for William. Nick is the seventh great-grandson of Chief William Taptico II, the last hereditary chief of the Wicocomico Nation, a family story he traced through DNA after eight generations of passing the initial down father to son without knowing why. It's the reason the company is called Taptico, and the reason he builds for the underdog.
